Swara Bhasker NOT Getting Enough Work? Reveals She Is Facing 'Real Consequences' Of Speaking Out: The Cost Has Been Huge
Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker does not mince words and she is known for being her unapologetic self on Twitter. Her fierce opinions also lands in controversies and more often than not, she finds herself at the receiving end of online trolling. However, Swara opined that being vocal has affected her professional life and she was recently seen opening up about the cost of speaking out.

During a recent interview, the Veere Di Wedding actress said that she is facing adverse consequences of being vocal. She said that despite proving her acting prowess, she is not getting enough projects.

Talking to ETimes, "I've chosen consciously to put at risk the thing that is most dear to me, and that is my work. And the cost has been huge and it's been personal and emotional in the sense that I don't get to do the thing that I love doing, which is acting. I don't get to do it enough.”

Furthermore, she remarked, "I'm a far better actor and a far more competent, and effective actor than the opportunities that come my way. I have a far better track record in terms of my career. I've been part of six or seven blockbuster films and like a whole bunch of web series [and] shows, led them. I've never had bad reviews pretty much. There shouldn't be a reason for me to feel like I don't get enough work but clearly, I don't."

Swara has been politically active for some time, and she recently joined Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra in Madhya Pradesh.

"Joined @bharatjodo yatra today & walked with @RahulGandhi. The energy, commitment & love is inspiring! The participation & warmth of common people, the enthusiasm of Congress workers & RG's attention & care toward everyone & everything around him is astounding! @INCIndia," Bhasker tweeted.

"At a time when hate is normal & the dominant logic is that 'no low is too low as long as the election is won'.. when society is so brutalised that we barely blink at heinous crimes, @bharatjodo yatra is a radical new imagination & expression of how we can resist hate. @INCIndia," she added.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Swara Bhasker was last seen in Jahaan Chaar Yaar, alongside Shikha Talsania, Meher Vij, Pooja Chopra.
